Each year Earth Overshoot Day, the day each year when humanity uses up as much resources as Earth produces in a year, moves earlier and earlier on the calendar. By becoming more sustainable we are trying to reduce our collective footprint and ensure a good quality of life for all creatures on the Earth well into the future. Students selecting the Sustainability Minor will take a variety of courses in general science, political-economic, and sociocultural areas to better understand our needs and our impacts on the Earth. Students with a minor in Sustainability have gone onto careers with non-profit organizations, tribal, local, state, federal government agencies and private industry.
