Biography

Kathrina O’Connell earned a B.A. in Elementary Education and Spanish, and both a M.A. in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages and Ed.D. in Educational Leadership from Minnesota State University Moorhead. Kathrina has taught students in PreK-12th grade, in international, private, public, Department of Defense Educational Activity (DoDEA), and Bureau of Indian Education (BIE) schools in Spain, New York, North Dakota, and Minnesota. Her research interests include literacy, summer learning, motivation to read, supporting multilingual learners, and rural education.
